Easter Services
Holy Week Meditations
Welcome to our four Stations of the Cross meditations where each day we encounter one of the women along the road to Calvary.
The videos will be posted here each day, Monday -Thursday.
The reading will be posted with it so you can find it in advance and follow it, if you wish. I have used the New International Version (NIV).
Each video has a piece of music to go with it. However, to avoid copyright complications I have not uploaded the music onto the video. The link for each piece of music is with the video. I suggest you click on the link beforehand, get rid of the adverts and then at the end of the meditation play the music.
Please scroll down to find the video.
The latest to be added is at the top.
Watch here for our Good Friday Tenebrae Service.
Welcome to our Good Friday Tenebrae service.
‘Tenebrae’ means ‘darkness’. A Tenebrae service is about giving us the opportunity to linger at the Cross, allowing ourselves to encounter the darkness that Jesus experienced for us.
This service will last 36 minutes. There are 13 candles, one for each disciple and one for Jesus. During the service the candles are gradually extinguished, leaving us with darkness.
The service consists of gospel readings, excerpts from Psalms and hymns.
There are a few opportunities for you to join in with the Psalms. The words in bold are on the screen for you to say along with me. The words for the hymns are also on the screen.
(One small hutch is that the picture occasionally jumps. We haven’t been able to fix it in time. Apologies!)
